Group Therapy

LET’S CHECK IN

What is group therapy?

  • An evidence-based approach shown to be effective for mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, grief, and life transitions.

  • A therapist-facilitated, confidential environment where members are supported by clear boundaries, mutual respect, and shared agreements.

  • A community-centered space that embraces authenticity, belonging, and connection to reduce isolation and shame.

  • A gentle reminder that many of our struggles are shared - we are meant to heal together.

  • Deepen Awareness + Insight

Group therapy provides opportunities to listen and learn from different life stories - and how we relate to them. Exploring others’ experiences and perspectives while bringing awareness to our reactions, we can increase insight, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and offer new ways of understanding oneself and life's challenges.

  • Stengthen Interpersonal Skills

Across group sessions, members practice communicating authentically, setting boundaries compassionately, receiving feedback wth curiosity, expressing emotions effectively, and navigating differences in real time.

  • Reduce Isolation + Loneliness

Group therapy establishes and strengthens a sense of universality: the notion that we as human beings share similar experiences. Through situating personal challenges in a larger web of collective experience, we can normalize emotions, reduce shame, and empower authenticity.

  • Build Connection + Belonging

Within the group setting, members foster trust, acceptance, and a sense of community - factors strongly associated with psychological healing. These healthy and symbiotic relationships become conscious vehicles for healing and growth.

  • Strengthen Emotional Regulation

Groups provide opportunities to practice vulnerability, tolerate difficult emotions, and receive support while learning healthy coping strategies and discovering new resources for meaningful change.

  • Promote Hope + Resilience

Through the group, members witness - and contribute - to others' growth and healing. Through exposure and connection to another person’s healing journey, we can experience increased motivation, optimism, and confidence that change is possible.
